Trials HD Review
Trials HD is the third game in the Trials series, the first two o which were on PC. The game is essentially a glorified version of the classic motocross game, Excitebike. So, what could make a new Excitebike worth 1200 Microsoft Points?

Graphics
Trials HD is a 3D motocross game that limits your movement to a 2D space. Think of it as a side-scroller. The game uses some great physics to control the dirt bike that you are on, though they are mostly unrealistic. The backgrounds are great, and fit well with the rest of the game. You’ll run into exploding barrels and pits of fire on your way throughout the game that look just as stunning as the rest of the HD graphics.
Gameplay
It will take some time to complete everything in Race Mode. When you get to the Medium level, you’ll start to slow down and the frustration will begin to set in as it takes 30 minutes to get a gold metal on a 5 second course. Making it through the levels in the allotted time isn’t to difficult in most cases, but making it through with no faults and on time is very difficult.
As you work your way through the game, you will unlock mini-games that ask you to “ski jump” and fly as far as you can by projecting your character off you dirt bike, break as many bones as you can, fly through flaming hoops, and climb mountains. Some of them are frustrating, bu for the most part they are all fun for a while.

One of my favorite features of the game is that it is constantly comparing your scores track times with your friends. You can even see how fast hey were going through each level while you are playing via a scrolling bar at the top of the screen.
Extras
The game has a built in track editor, allowing you to create your own tracks. All of the tracks that you create can be shared over Xbox LIVE and you can download other peoples tracks as well.
In addition to the editor, you will also find the ability to watch replays of your attempts at beating a level, as well as the top 5000 people on each leader board. This is a great system that offers people the ability to see how the leaders made it through each level, which is a huge help when you get stuck on a level for a long time.

Closing Thoughts
This game is packed with over 50 courses to go through and they will get extremely difficult. The track editor and mini-games alone will keep you occupied for hours. This game is a must buy, especially if you like Excitebike.
